1. To enter Barhyte's "I am a Saucy Mama" Contest, send us an email containing your name, your primary email address, shipping address, blog URL, and phone number in order to receive your free Saucy Mama product samples for inclusion in your original recipe. The first 50 contestants to write Barhyte Specialty Foods at SaucyMamaCafe@yahoo.com automatically will receive a Saucy Mama Blogger Kit complete with samples of our six top-selling dressings, marinades, and mustards, along with six extra bottles of our bestselling condiments to give away to your OWN blog readers!
2. Once you receive your Saucy Mama supplies, create an original, party pleasing dish using at least one of the Saucy Mama condiments that serves up to 12 people.
3. Photograph your finished creation (ideally please include the Saucy Mama condiment that you used somewhere in the shot; it does NOT have to be prominently displayed, however. We want your dish to be the star of that photo!)
4. If you are willing, please record a short video (finished time: less than three minutes) of you demonstrating the recipe. The video could feature you speaking directly to the camera; you being interviewed by a friend; just a closeup of your hands showing the steps, with your voice talking through the steps; or you can be as creative as you wish and come up with something completely different!)
5. If you did record a video, submit that video to YouTube or another popular video hosting site.
6. Post your recipe and video to your own blog.
7. Create a giveaway promotion of your own on your blog, offering your readers the opportunity to win a Saucy Mama condiment (which will be supplied in your Saucy Mama Blogger Kit). You determine the conditions under which your readers could win the treats.
8. Send a copy of your recipe and a .jpg copy of your photo to: SaucyMamaCafe@yahoo.com
9. If available, send a link of your video to: SaucyMamaCafe@yahoo.com
10. Submit your recipe and photo to any one of the following food lover sites:
    • www.Tastespotting.com

    • Other sites or communities you prefer to use

Contestant registration can be email online at www.barhyte.com/contest.html beginning July 7, 2010 at 8:00 am ET and close when the first 50 contestants have been accepted. Contest is only open to US residents who are 18 years of age or older and who currently maintain a blog. (Blog must have been in existence for at least three months and have been updated at least four times a month.) The contest is not open to culinary professionals working full-time in commercial kitchens.

Contestants will be expected to submit recipes for consideration no later than September 1, 2010, but are encouraged to submit them earlier if possible, as we will feature early submissions on our blog, website and Facebook pages.

Three recipes will be chosen and ranked by Saucy Mama's judging panel based on taste, creativity and ease of preparation.

Winners will be announced on September 30, 2010

The Grand Prize is $1000.00 cash! The Grand Prize Winner also will have their original recipe printed on the Saucy Mama label corresponding to the ingredient in the dish - to be seen nationwide in gourmet and specialty food stores.
Second Prize is $250.00.
Third Prize is $100.00.

All three winners also will receive a Saucy Mama apron, a case of Saucy Mama condiments, and a copy of Suzie "Saucy Mama" Barhyte's cookbook, "Beyond the Bull: Recipes from the Pendleton Roundup."

All recipes must be the original creation of the contestant, typed, and in English. All recipes that have won a previous national award, prize or competition or have been published in a national publication are ineligible and will be disqualified. By entering, you agree to the terms of these Official Rules and to receive e-mails from Sponsor, Barhyte Specialty Foods and/or those directed by them. All entries must be received by Sep. 1, 2010 at 11:59 PM E.D.T. No limits to the number of submitted recipes per person.

Sponsor will not be responsible for incomplete, lost, late, or illegible entries, or for failure to receive entries due to transmission failures or technical failures of any kind, including, without limitation, malfunctioning of any network, hardware or software, whether originating with sender or Sponsor. Ad blocking software on your computer needs to be disabled so that it doesn't interfere with processing your entry. In the event of a dispute, all online entries will be deemed to have been submitted by the owner of the ISP account from which they were sent. For these purposes, an ISP account holder shall mean the natural person assigned to such ISP account by the Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning ISP addresses for the domain associated with such ISP account. All entries, including the recipes and essays, become property of Barhyte Specialty Foods and its affiliates and none will be returned. Contestants acknowledge and agree that Barhyte Specialty Foods and its affiliates shall have the right to edit, adapt, modify, reproduce, publish, promote, create a sound recording of, broadcast, or otherwise display or use entries, including the recipes and essays, in any way it sees fit without limitation or compensation to entrants. Any questions regarding the number of entries submitted or the owner of an ISP account shall be determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, and Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entries by persons determined to be tampering with or abusing any aspect of the Contest. Sponsor further reserves the right to disqualify any entry that is alleged to infringe on any third-party's intellectual property rights, or that Sponsor deems obscene, offensive or otherwise inappropriate for viewing by a general audience.

The recipes, photos and accompanying Q & A answers will be judged by Barhyte Specialty Foods Staff based on the following criteria: originality, creative use of ingredients, clarity of instructions, ease of preparation, appropriateness for a "quick and easy" recipe, and overall appeal. Entrants being considered for selection may be contacted by Barhyte Specialty Foods for further information prior to final selection. Judging will conclude no later than September 30, 2010 when 1st Place, 2nd Place and 3rd Place winners will be selected.

Barhyte's "I am a Saucy Mama" Contest is sponsored by Barhyte Specialty Foods. The decisions of Sponsor and the Contest Judges regarding the selection of winners and all other aspects of the Contest shall be final and binding in all respects.
