Today, Barhyte Specialty Foods’® own “Saucy Mama®” is now the face of the company at the consumer level as well. The Oregon-based purveyor of fine condiments has just re-launched its core brand of gourmet marinades, mustards, and dressings under the new “Saucy Mama®” label. Saucy Mama’s® premium condiments will begin shipping to gourmet retail and specialty stores nationwide in March 2009. “Everyone we work with loves my Mom,” explains an understandably proud Chris Barhyte, vice president of sales for Barhyte Specialty Foods®. “She’s the face behind the company and she’s the chef behind our flavors. A few years ago, we introduced her through our advertising to the industry, and the response has been extraordinary. Our decision to re-brand our house line under her image was a natural progression, and one that we’re genuinely excited to announce!” The Saucy Mama® brand of condiments will include a range of products that have appeared in years past under the “Haus Barhyte” or “Barhyte” brand names. The company also plans to launch a new collection of gourmet dressings and marinades under the brand in the coming months.
