Food service veteran Mike Cooper and customer service expert Natalie Williams have joined the Barhyte team, according to an announcement made today by President of Sales and Marketing Chris Barhyte. Cooper, a Los Angeles native, began his career with Casey Foods, later joining Portland, Ore.-based Kelley-Clarke as a regional sales manager and brand manager. During his tenure with Kelley-Clarke, he was responsible for ensuring brand consistency between the retailer and the brand, while also growing sales at university foodservice operations and other institutions throughout his territory. "Today's consumers are more sophisticated: they know where their produce and fresh food originates, and how it's made," Cooper notes. "Food service buyers are responding by sourcing from local, organic farms whenever possible.
